Nutrition and Food under the NHS

The NHS has been, and remains an important site for transmitting information about nutrition and food both within hospital settings and through wider nutrition education programmes and dietetic services. Yet the NHS has also come under considerable criticism for the quality of its hospital food, especially as frozen and processed foods have been increasingly relied upon since the 1970s.
